Italy trip - 8D7N ( Venice, Milan, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Rome, Vatican City)

On 4th June 2018, I was rushing for assignment due on 4pm. I knew that I will have a bunch of things to do on this day. I submit my assignment at 10am in the morning and went to HSBC to replace my debit card as I was not able to unsubscribe to one of the contact lens product which they charge me £30 every month.  Guess what? I even went to work for a lunch shift in the afternoon and also Primark when I was not even done with my packing for my luggage. I took a quick shower, pack my things and meet my friends to take UBER to train station. We arrive Leeds at around 8pm and had dinner with another 2 new friends. We choose to depart from Leeds instead of Manchester because the flights to Venice is cheaper as compared to Manchester airport. After dinner, we walk back to my friend accommodation and have a discussion on our trip! Just to give you a big picture on my Italy trip, we stayed 2 nights in Venice(Galta), a night in Milan, a night in Cinque Terre, a night in Pisa and 2 nights in Rome.

Leeds-Venice

The flight ticket cost £32 from Leeds to Venice. However the flight is at 7.20am so we took UBER to the airport at 5.30am.
I didn't sleep on the night before as I was planning for the Italy itinerary and couldn't fall asleep in just 2 hours time.

It cost us €10 and an hour time of journey to travel from Venice airport to Venice City.

 Venice

We took our lunch at one of the top restaurant in Venice after searching from Trip Advisor. The food taste really good but it is quite expensive and cost about £20 for each person.

Just us being extra (if you understand what we were trying to do)

Gelato is famous in Italy, so we decide to taste it! Here is a picture of my friends looking at the menu.

I chose pistachio and tiramisu flavour and it taste good !

Unforgettable memories: we miss the last bus available to our accommodation and there is no UBER or GRAB that we can take at that area. The worse is that we will need to walk for an hour just to reach the accommodation. Luckily, we manage to get help from a very kind restaurant owner who are a Chinese and drive us to the place that we stay.

Venice- Day 2
We woke up at 5.00am in the morning because we want to spend more time in Venice and the accommodation that we booked was an hour away from the Venice city. On the 2nd day of our trip, we went to one of the famous island in Venice-Burano. Why Burano? Burano is famous because of its colour ! We did not go to Murano ( another famous island in Venice) as most of my friend who went said there is nothing much there as compared to Burano. So, below are the picture that I took in Burano.

You must be wondering why is there no one there if it is so famous in Venice. As I mention earlier, we woke up early in the morning and reach Burano at around 8am. That is why it is not crowded and we spend about 2 hours in this pretty island.

We took ferry back to Venice city and had our lunch in one of the restaurant. As you can see, I had lasagna and mineral water for my lunch. The lunch that we took is cheaper than the one we had on day 1 as it cost only about €10.

After lunch, we split into small groups as some of my friends want to meet with their friends, some would like to walk around in this beautiful city while 3 of my friends and I would like to experience the Gondola ride. It cost €80 for the ride and it the ride was only 30 minutes.

Really love the view in Venice
Rialto bridge again

I swear I wasn't ready for it !

Selfie time !

After Gondola ride, we went back to St Basilica as one of my friend  did not manage to enter the church on the first day.  I took a picture here on day 2 as I didn't manage to take one on 1st day. The weather wasn't as hot as first day but the picture doesn't look good without the sun light and blue sky.

Milan

We arrive Milan in the afternoon

I was physically exhausted not because of the long journey but the hot weather and the need to constantly stay alert of the  pickpockets.

Milan Duomo

Extremely grateful to be able to travel with them 💌

The entrance to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - Italy's oldest active shopping mall
The internal structure is amazing !

the price of the dishes is just as classy as the menu ! Again, we chose this restaurant according to Trip advisor.

Risot Milanese, one of their popular dishes

There isn't any hidden charge in the price as shown in menu unlike some of the other restaurant in Italy.
Another Gelato! There isn't any Gelato or much flavour left as we bought it after our dinner.
